The VA Accountability and Whistle-blower Protection Act, a bill that would make it easier to discipline and fire Department of Veterans Affairs employees was passed last week by the US House of Representatives. The legislation would make it easier for the Department of Veterans Affairs to discipline or fire employees who do not provide proper care to veterans. The legislation would also create an office within the VA designed to accept and evaluate whistle-blower tips. President Trump, who tweeted his support for the legislation, is expected to sign the bill into law as soon as it hits his desk. The Bill was supported by Colorado Senators Bennet and Gardner and Congressman Scott Tipton.
