Local officials are encouraging Craig residents to treat the EPA’s visit next week as a community event. Regional Administrator Shawn McGrath will visit Moffat County for a community meeting Wednesday to hear from local residents, businesses, and community leaders about the hardships the EPA’s new carbon emissions rules will cause in Moffat County. The meeting will be held in the Moffat County High School Auditorium to accommodate what is hoped to be a large crowd. Organizers are encouraging people to show up by offering a free barbecue before the meeting. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and a drink will be served to the first 500 people that show up to the high school, starting at 5 Wednesday. The meeting itself will be held from 6:30 to 8:30, and will include time for audience questions.
