The Moffat County Commissioners meeting room is scheduled for remodeling. The commissioners say they plan to flip the room to make it more audience friendly. Overflow of audience members currently spills into the courthouse copy room, where the commissioners say people will sometimes lean against the electronic machines. They say they’ve had issues in the past where equipment was damaged. With the remodel, overflow would spill into the courthouse lobby. The main entrance to the meeting room would lead to the lobby, and there would be large windows for viewing. The project is expected to cost a little over $9,000, and the work will be done by APH Construction. It’s not clear when the project would start, but the commissioners say they would like to see it finished sometime this spring.
