The BLM is looking for public comment to help guide two projects intended to benefit the wild horse population in the Piceance East Douglas Heard management area in Rio Blanco County. The BLM will reconstruct approximately a mile of fencing near Duck Creek in order to secure the Heard Management Area, preventing horses from leaving. The BLM is also looking to redevelop Corcoran Springs to ensure it can provide a reliable water source, while maintaining the quality of the springs. Environmental Assessments for these projects are available to view through the BLM. Comments can be emailed to the BLM at email@example.com. Comments should be submitted by December 15th.
