The US Forest Service is looking for public input on the proposed Mad Rabbit Trails Project in the Routt National Forrest. The project would provide additional, sustainable, trail-based recreation opportunities in the Mad Creek, Rocky Peak, and Rabbit Ears Pass areas. Two different ideas for the area have been proposed, offering two potential trail options. An interactive web site has been developed to provide information and to accept public feedback for this project. The site provides detailed maps which show preliminary options for trail development, and also gives users the option to provide feedback on specific locations. Comments on the proposals can also be mailed to the US Forest Service or can be submitted via email. Additional information on how to comment through mail or email is available below. All comments need to be submitted by February 12th.
Input can should be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org with “Mad Rabbit Trails Project” in the subject line
Feedback can also be mailed to: Hahns Peak‐Bears Ears Ranger District, Attn: Mad Rabbit Trails Project, 925 Weiss Drive, Steamboat Springs, CO, 80487.
