Today is the deadline for the public to make comments on the environmental assessment that was preformed by the Office of Surface Mining and Reclamation on the proposed Collum project at ColoWyo mine. For the project to commence as planned it is important that ample public comments be submitted. If it is approved the new project will help to preserve 220 mining jobs in Northwest Colorado. Comments are also needed on the environmental assessment that was performed on the Trapper mine in a response to a lawsuit brought on by the WildEarth guardians. The deadline to make those comments is tomorrow. For more information and details on how comments can easily be submitted visit either standwithtrapper.com or supportnorthwestcolorado.com.
