Colorado May Use Pot Taxes To Fight Homelessness

medical-marijuana-taxGovernor Hickenlooper is hoping taxes from marijuana sales will bring an end to homelessness Colorado.   In his budget for the next fiscal year, the governor is asking lawmakers to earmark more than $12 million in revenue from sales of marijuana to build new housing for the homeless. Recent surveys show Colorado’s homeless population is growing faster than the national average.
