Colorado Unemployment Stays Steady

Colorado’s unemployment rate stayed steady between January and February of this year, holding at 2.9%. This is well below the national unemployment rate, which fell by .1% to 4.7%, over that time period. The average Colorado work week has dropped .5 hours so far this year, with wages falling 20 cents. The largest private sector job gains between January and February were in construction and business services, with the largest declines coming in financial activities and education and health services.
