Colorado Ranked Top-5 In Voter Turnout

Colorado ranked in the top 5 for voter turnout during the 2016 election. 72% of eligible Colorado voters turned up to vote, which far exceeded the national average of 60%. According to 2016 election numbers, Colorado ranked 4th in voter turnout behind Minnesota, Maine, and New Hampshire. Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams says the turnout can be partially attributed to the fact that the State has the highest percentage of eligible voters in the US, due to the state’s commitment to voter registration.
