During the first full year of recreational marijuana sales, Colorado sold $700 million worth of product. That number includes both medical and recreational sales. The medical industry takes credit for about $385 million of that, while the recreational industry claims around $313 million. Those numbers are basedon data from the Colorado Department of Revenue. The sales put about $76 million in state coffers through tax revenue. Industry reps are thrilled with the numbers, saying it means the black market is drying up in Colorado. They also say they expect those numbers to climb in 2015.
