Colorado ranked number 2 in the country for the highest percentage of monthly marijuana users, according to recent federal data. The “National Survey on Drug Use and Health” said that 12-point-7 percent of Colorado residents age 12 and older reported having used marijuana in the past month during the 2012 and 2013 survey period, compared with 10-point-4 percent during the previous survey period. An increase of over 20 percent in just one year. That equates to over a half a million people in Colorado who now use marijuana on a regular basis. The only state to have a higher usage during the recent survey was Rhode Island.
