Coloradans Hit The Road For Memorial Day

More people from Colorado are projected to travel this Memorial Day Weekend than have since the summer of 2005. Over 715,000 Coloradans, or roughly 13% of the population, are expected to travel 50 miles or more from their homes this weekend, according to AAA.  Nationally, 39.3 million Americans will leave home for Memorial Day, an increase of 2.7% from last years travel numbers. These increases are coming despite the fact that Memorial Day gas prices are expected to be the highest they have been since 2015. AAA Colorado Representative Skyler McKinley attributes the growing number of travelers to increasing consumer confidence in the U.S.
