The Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado is trying to coordinate transportation to this week’s hearing in Denver on the future of coal. The BLM will hold a Listening Session in Denver Tuesday to gather feedback on how to best carry out its responsibility to ensure that American taxpayers receive a fair return on federal coal reserves. It’s one of five sessions being held around the country, and typical to the Department of Interior, is not being held in a coal community. Anyone wanting to go to the hearing will be able to speak for three minutes. Those wishing to speak will have to register to do so. The hearing will also be streamed online. If you have questions, or would like to participate, contact Club 20’s Bonnie Peterson, by sending an email to email@example.com.
