CO Receives Funds To Repair Rock Slide Damage

Colorado has been granted over $7 million from the Federal Highway Administration, to help pay for damage from the rock-slide which closed down I-70 through Glenwood Canyon, in early 2016. These funds will be critical in addressing the issues caused by the slide, and will help support the State’s Emergency Relief account, which was facing significant shortfalls. According to Senator Cory Gardner, without these funds from the federal government, infrastructure repairs could have taken an additional 20 years.
