CNCC Receives Two Grants for Science Department

CNCC-3001Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) has received a couple of grants for their science departments. The college announced they’ve received $10,000 grants from The Bacon Family Foundation and the Goodwin Family Foundation in Grand Junction. The funds will support upgrades to physics, chemistry and biology equipment in the college’s newly renovated Rector Science Building. CNCC Grants Administrator Michael Melneck said, “Grants from foundation partners who value our work allow the college to stimulate and improve student success, refine course content delivery and grow CNCC’s capacities. (Both grants) come at a very exciting time in the life of the college and we’re most appreciative of what (they) can do for the college, it’s faculty, staff and students.”
