Closures near the Silver Creek Fire, burning in the Sarvis Creek Wilderness area in the Routt National Forest, four miles south of Stage Coach Reservoir, have been suspended. Recent rain showers and colder temperatures have cooled the fire enough for the closures to be lifted. The fire may still be active in some areas, so the public should use caution when recreating near the burn. The area may also have many standing dead trees that could be unstable due to the fire. The lightning started Silver Creek Fire is not expected to be fully under control, until a large amount of snow falls in the area.
