Citizen Police Academy Registration Deadline Extended

The Steamboat Springs Police Department has extended the deadline to register for the Citizens’ Police Academy. Residents interested in enhancing their knowledge of local law enforcement can now sign up for the program through March 31st. The inaugural class will be held on Wednesday’s form April 26th through June 28th. Each session will be taught by volunteer police department personnel. Participants must be 21 years or older, possess a high school reading and writing level, and be able to sit in a class room for at least 3 hours. A background check is also required to participate.
