With the arrival of fall, the visiting centers at Dinosaur National Monument will be changing their hours of operations for the season. On the Utah side, the Quarry Visitor Center and Exhibit Hall are now open daily from 9 to 5. On the Colorado side, the Canyon Visitor Center is open 9 to 5 through this Saturday with the hours changing this Sunday to 9:30 to 4:30. The Canyon Visitor center will close for the season on October 16th. Monument campgrounds have also begun closing for the season or have gone into winter operations. Fall/Winter Camping Information
Monument campgrounds will begin closing for the season or going into winter operations. Water service at the Deerlodge Park Campground is off for the season. Water at the Gates of Lodore Campground will be turned off on October 6. Echo Park Campground water will be turned off on October 13. Campers may still use the campgrounds, but must bring their own water. On October 25, the Green River Campground, located near the Quarry Visitor Center, will close for the season at noon and the Split Mountain Campground will then be open to all campers on a first-come, first-serve basis. Water will not be available at Split Mountain Campground after October 25. All dates are subject to change in the event of severe weather or an extended period of freezing temperatures.
