Changes To Big Game Application Process

License applications are being accepted now for the 2018 Colorado big game, sheep and mountain goat hunting seasons. This will be the first year the big game draw process will be conducted through the new integrated purchasing system, so there will be some significant changes to the process. Paper applications will no longer be accepted, so all applications will need to be completed online. Payment in full is now no longer required at the time the application is submitted, the applicant now only has to pay the application fee and purchase a $10 habitat stamp. The cost of a license will now be due when a hunter is selected in the draw.  Brochures and information for the upcoming hunting seasons are available. The Big Game brochure explains regulations for deer, elk, pronghorn, moose and bear hunting, while the Sheep and Goat brochure explains regulations involved with hunting the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Desert Bighorn Sheep and Mountain Goats. Big game applications need to be submitted by April 3rd. For additional details on big game hunting in Colorado and the license application process, click here.
