The identity of the body found earlier this week by a cadaver dog near Superior, east of Rock Springs, has been released. The remains have been identified as those of 59-year-old Darrell Douglas Sowder of Superior, who went missing in 2015. Sowder’s family told police they thought he might hurt himself when they reported him missing, after he was last seen at his home in Superior in October of 2015. A coroner used dental records to identify the body. The investigation into the cause of Sowder’s death will continue and is pending the results of laboratory analysis tests.
