Cable Failure Causes Power Outage in Craig

power-outage-300A power outage in Craig took out over a thousand customers Thursday night. According to Yampa Valley Electric Association, the outage started at about 11 Thursday night, due to an underground cable failure. A circuit was lost at the Williams Substation taking out much of the western and southern part of Craig. YVEA officials say power was partially restored at around 2 Friday morning, and fully restored by around 3:15.
