Broadband Issues Being Addressed

internetThe Craig City Council will give $12,500 toward the effort to improve broadband access in the area. The council approved the money as a partial match for an administrative grant from the Department of Local Affairs. The grant will help pay to identify gaps and inefficiencies in the current service. The Moffat County Commissioners are also expected to give $12,500, with DOLA providing the other $25,000. The City is taking lead on the grant, due to the fact that the grant is coming from a government agency, however, the project was initiated by Craig/Moffat EDP. Once the inefficiencies have been identified, another grant will be available for putting in new infrastructure.
