Body Found In River Identified

The body pulled from the Colorado River near New Castle last week, has been identified as that of 28 year old Patrick Henry of Oklahoma. According to the Garfield County Coroner, Henry’s death is believed to be a suicide. The coroner determined that Henry died from self inflicted stab wounds to his chest, wrist and neck, in addition to being submerged in ice cold water. A vehicle that was discovered near the river, which police believe was stolen by Henry, triggered the initial investigation. After a search near the vehicle, police discovered bloody clothes, knife, a wallet and a blood trail leading to the river. Days later, Henry’s body was found in the river not far from the location of the stolen vehicle.  It’s unknown what lead Henry to take his own life.
