BLM Opens Emerald Mountain Trail

emerald-mountain-300The Ridge/Beall Trailhead is now open at the Emerald Mountain Special Recreation Management Area located in Steamboat Springs.   The Trailhead, which is located one mile off County Road 33 on CR 45, was built through a partnership with the city of Steamboat Springs and the 2A Trails Committee Accommodations Tax to provide parking, kiosk and a vault toilet. The vault toilet was destroyed by vandals on Sept. 10 leaving no toilet facilities on site at this time and until a replacement is built.  The trailhead can accommodate 29 vehicles, one handicapped and five trailers for more than 15 miles of trails on Emerald Mountain.
