The Craig Parks & Recreation Department has announced that Big Head Todd and the Monsters will be headline the 19th annual Whittle the Wood Rendezvous festival, which will take place June 13 through the 16th, at Loudy-Simpson Park in Craig. The Colorado based band has preformed as the headliner at Read Rocks nearly 20 times, over their nearly 30 years of existence. The Movers & Shakers have also been confirmed to play the festival, and event organizers are currently working to secure two other bands. There will be a small fee again this year to attend Saturday’s concert, with tickets available for $5 per person in advance or $10 at the gate. Children 12 and under get in free. Past headliners at Whittle the Wood have included Rare Earth, Restless Heart, Jefferson Starship, Firefall and Dave Mason. In addition to the featured headline act, a car show, arts and crafts, food and the stump carving competition will also be held on the Saturday of the event.
