Biden Visits Colorado, Tries to Push Republicans to Pass Immigration Reform

BIDENVice President Joe Biden says that Republicans should pass an immigration overhaul now that the primary season is ending.  Biden spoke to Colorado politicians and religious leaders at a Denver coffee shop yesterday. He noted that Republicans have said they might act on immigration after potentially divisive primaries were over. Parts of the Republican base strongly oppose any immigration deal that includes amnesty, something Democrats are pushing, presumably to increase the party’s voting numbers.  The vice president noted that primaries are almost done. Biden was in Colorado to raise money for Senator Mark Udall’s re-election campaign and to speak at the Air Force Academy graduation.  Udall is another advocate of amnesty, and has been one of President Obama’s biggest supporters on issues such as health care, immigration, and energy policy.  Pictured:  Joe Biden
