Beaver Creek Fire Costs Estimated At $30 Million

WILD FIREThe nearly 60 square mile Beaver Creek Fire continues to smolder 20 miles northwest of Walden near the Colorado and Wyoming Border. Officials are now estimating that state has spent approximately $30 Million fighting the blaze. The Beaver Creek Fire presented unique challenges for crews, due to its location in an area with an abundance of beetle kill trees, which helped fuel the blaze.
