Colorado gubernatorial candidate Bob Beauprez has chosen Douglas County Commissioner Jill Repella as his running mate. Beauprez made the announcement yesterday. Repella, who is considered a rising star in local government leadership, grew up in Colorado and received her bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and her master’s in Executive Leadership from the University of Denver. After years of working in business, Repella’s first elected position was on the Douglas County Board of Education where she successfully fought for high performance outcomes for students. Beauprez and Repella will be joining former Republican gubernatorial candidates Tom Tancredo, Mike Kopp and Secretary of State Scott Gessler on a Unity Tour of the Front Range today.
