A third meeting has now been set up to discuss the ColoWyo situation. The Steamboat Institute has scheduled a meeting for June 17th to talk about the future of the mine. The night will also include a discussion on costly EPA regulations on carbon and ozone. The moderator of the event will be Amy Oliver Cooke from the Independence Institute. The meeting takes place June 17th from 5:30 to 7 at the Strings Music Pavillion in Steamboat. There is no cost, and the public is encouraged to attend. This meeting come on the heels of a public meeting tonight in Craig, and a meeting June 10th, which is intended to gather public input for the new Environmental Assessment the Office of Surface Mining is working on. That meeting will be in the Grandstands Building at the Moffat County Fairgrounds from 4 to 8.
