No one was injured in a fire at a condensate station in the Powder Wash area of Moffat County. The fire that occurred Monday afternoon may have involved as many at 3 condensate tanks, which are also referred to as drip tanks. The tanks collect and store light-crude petroleum that is a byproduct of natural gas production. The Craig Fire Department and the Moffat County Sheriff’s office responded to the fire near the intersection of County Roads 4 and 75 about 75 miles from Craig. The site, is reportedly operated by a company out of Rock Springs. According to Moffat County Sheriff KC Hume the company has dispatched personnel to evaluate the site and determine the exact cause of the fire. Pictured: Stock photo of a condensate station.
