27 cases of potential voter registration fraud, which may have occurred during November’s election, have been uncovered by the Larimer County Clerk’s office. The cases were flagged when clerk employees were submitting Election Day registrations to the Secretary of State’s voter database. The database is synced with other statewide databases like the Department of Transportation and the Department of Corrections. The databases communicate and look for potential issues with voter registration. During the data entry process, a total of 27 entries were flagged as being potentially fraudulent. 11 of the entries that were flagged are possible felons, while 16 of the violations concerned people who may not be United States citizens. All of the names of the people involved have been turned over to the Larimer County DA for an investigation.
