2 Gang Members Charged With Felonies

Two Sureno street gang members received multiple charges last week related to narcotics distribution and illegal gun possession, after a search warrant was executed for an apartment in Rifle. 50-year-old Moses Gallegos, who was baby sitting a toddler when police arrived, was found to have 12 grams of heroin, 3.5 grams of meth and small amounts of psilocybin mushrooms and acid in his possession. Police also discovered an assortment of ammunition, three guns and other items that had been taken during a burglary in the Rifle area. Most of these items, including drugs and drug paraphernalia, were located in areas which could be easily accessed by the toddler he was baby sitting. Moses received multiple felony charges, and his son 30-year-old Moses Gallegos Jr., who was already in custody at the Garfield County Jail, also received additional felony charges related to the search.  The mother of the toddler involved in the incident, 20-year-old Cassandra Brueckmann, was charged with misdemeanor child abuse. Moses Alfonso Gallegos Sr. (DOB 11/25/1967) was arrested and transported the Garfield County Jail with the following charges:

Violation of Bail Bond Conditions a class 6 Felony, Child Abuse a class 2 Misdemeanor, two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled substance a class 4 Drug Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Schedule 2 Controlled Substance a class 4 Drug Felony, Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance a class 3 Drug Felony, Special Offenses a class 1 Drug Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Schedule 4 Controlled Substance a class 1 Drug Misdemeanor, Possession of a Drug Paraphernalia a class 2 Petty Offense, and Theft a class 1 Misdemeanor.

 

Moses Delfino Gallegos Jr. (DOB 11/15/1986), already in custody at the Garfield County Jail was charged with:

Violation of Protection Order a class 2 Misdemeanor, Violation of Bail Bond Condition a class 6 Felony, Child Abuse a class 2 Misdemeanor, 2 counts Unlawful Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance a class 4 Drug Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance a class 4 Drug Felony, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Substance a class 3 Drug Felony, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Substance a class 3 Drug Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance (Zubsolv a class 1 Drug Misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a class 2 Petty Offense, Theft a class 1 Misdemeanor.
